Set in and among the alleys, galleries and flesh-houses of 19th-century industrial London, Desperate Romantics follows the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood painters, a vagabond group of English painters, poets and critics.
3 x BBC hour length episodes, 36 day shoot. Big ask for period drama, some very full on days. Ext/Int sets at Pinewood, weddings, funerals, paintings and more paintings, filming on water and a lot of shagging.....
